Come to Bauer on Wednesday, February 28 from 6:30-7:30 to help us kick off Reading Month. All Bauer students that attend will receive a free book! There will be popcorn, a photobooth, and a lot fun reading activities! Looking forward to a fun family night. Please RSVP so we can get an idea of about how many will be attending the event:

Reading:
We have continued in our nonfiction unit. We are learning how to track our thinking with sticky notes to track things we have learned, have questions about, have strong feelings about, and this week we will learn about making connections.

Writing:
We have been busy with our opinion stories. We have written our introductions and are writing strong reasons to support our opinions. Continue to ask "What would you rather?" questions at home, making sure there are several really good reasons for answers.

Math:
We will begin unit 5 this week. Student brought home their units 1-4 math journal because we are moving onto a new math journal for units 5-8. These can be recycled or students who play school at home usually enjoy using them for that.

Social Studies:
We have learned about many important individuals in our country's history. We are also learning about the past and present. We have begun book 2 in the Meet Addy series: Addy Learns a Lesson.
